Getting from A to B
Since the island is small, you can get from A to B relatively quickly. Typical means of transport for tourists aretaxis and scooters. The largest taxi company in Bali ist Blue Bird Taxi. Their "trademark" are the light blue cars. If you want to get from A to B in Bali, taking a taxi is the quickest and most convenient way. Blue Bird taxis are available in almost every major town. For shorter distances it is worth renting a scooter. Depending on where you are in Bali, this costs between 3 and 5 euros per day. But beware! The road network is far from being comparable to the European standard. 200 km can easily take 4 driving hours here. So if you have longer itineraries ahead of you, I recommend onedriverset for this route. This is very common in Bali and usually doesn't cost much more than a rental car.
Transfer from the airport
Here the taxi company Koperasi Taksi Ngurah Rai is responsible, which enjoys an exclusive license and thus a monopoly position at Denpasar Airport. However, the rides here cost more by far.Tipp: When you arrive at the airport, you will be overwhelmed by a mob of taxi drivers offering you a fixed price to your destination. This fixed price is guaranteed to be higher than the metered price. In the meantime, however, you can insist on wanting to use the taximeter. Be sure to find out in advance which route you will take to your destination and how many kilometers it is. The taxi drivers like to cheat andtake a detourto drive more kilometers. It is best to print out the route and show it to the driver before driving. This is how you show him that you know exactly when he should take a detour.

2 weeks in Bali
If you have two weeks to travel to Bali, I recommend you2-3 different locationsto put on your itinerary. To get an overview of the facets of the island, I can recommend the following itinerary:
- Canggu (2 – 3 Tage)
- Ubud (4 – 5 Days)
- Nusa Lembongan (4 – 6 Tag)
Cangguis located in the southwest of the island, above Kuta and Denpasar (Speaking of Kuta: if you don't feel like big city noise and wildparty nightsyou should avoid the capital of Bali). Canguu is a veryrelaxed place, which is particularly popular with surfers. Here you will meet many young people, hip cafés with the latest achievements in the healthy food segment and, of course, surfers who demonstrate their skills on the beach, especially in the evening hours. I recommend you to plan 2-3 days here.
Ubudis no longer an insider tip since the bestseller “Eat Pray Love” was filmed, but it still has its own charm. NumerousYoga schools, spas and templesstill remind us of the time when the spiritual heart of Bali still beat here. It still does today, albeit with a distinctly touristy note. Since Ubud is a good starting point for day trips, I recommend staying there for 4-5 days. An absolute must see is theUbud Sacred Monkey Forest. Long-tailed macaques live in the temple complex and will come into close contact with you. Another destination is theTegalalang Reisterrassen, which you can easily reach from Ubud by scooter.
Nusa Lembonganis a barrier island and is located off the southeast coast of Bali. Despite the small size of just 8 km², Nusa Lembongan offers a varied program for which you should plan 4 - 6 days. Whether beach hopping, snorkeling with manta rays or a trip to the neighboring island of Nusa Ceningan: the island promises a pure adventurer feeling. what your onNusa Lembonganyou can experience in my travel tips.
